LifeCanada offers programs to our member groups to enrich them in their work.
Make Time for Life™ is LifeCanada’s national
campaign intended to bring attention to the volunteer recruitment program in pastoral care: The Dying Healed ProgramTM.
The Dying Healed Program is designed to give volunteers confidence that their presence at the bedside of a lonely or dying person is an invaluable service. This program is intended to be a preparatory training for those who would like to spend time with the elderly, ill, disabled and dying, those most vulnerable to the negative influences of Canada’s new euthanasia and assisted suicide legislation.
Member groups can be prepared and trained to host Dying Healed Training Programs.
Groups can choose to promote the hosting of the program with other organizations such as a church or a diocese in their area. This option may promote networking with key stakeholders; individuals, parishes, and other organizations can purchase the Dying Healed Program materials and start a Dying Healed Training Program in their community at the group’s urging, and support.
