THE IMPORTANCE OF THE DOCUMENTARY
The YP Lounge examines the culture of life from the dating angle. Join us as we explore the award winning 2018 documentary. This movie which was produced by by Paulist Productions, Mpower Pictures, and Angelus Productions, follows 5 single people, ages 18 to 40, as they wade through society at a time when dating has drastically changed. Hanging out, hooking up, texting and social media have dominated the landscape and made traditional dating less attractive. In America, 50% of the population is single and somehow dating has become out of date.  However, is it possible to have a dating revolution using principles that will help young adults date purposely and successfully to find authentic love?

HOW YOUNG ADULTS CAN BENEFIT
Young adults will benefit from the discussion around many themes such as dating with or without boundaries, knowing the difference between the hookup culture vs. chaste dating, how to date well and how to break up well. The movie also suggests going on a Dating Assignment. Come find out more about it. Young adults will feel more inspired about how dating can be a positive experience when there is appropriate discernment and preparation.

Join guest host, Dr. David Baird of Catholic College who will lead an exciting panel discussion at this YP event. Meet 5 single Catholics who will offer their thoughts and insights on the movie as well as on how the dating culture can be restored.

** Mission of the YP Lounge
The YP Lounge is a life and career mentorship program for young professionals in their 20s and 30s.

The YP Lounge is developed by the same creators as Catholic After Hours(TM)

Young adults will be more confident in their career, dating ventures, their view of marriage and family, and understand which aspects of today's culture are not compatible with a culture of life.
Young professionals will also be knowledgeable, savvy, and more fulfilled as persons when they understand how to define human dignity, authentic freedom, happiness, and liberty.
Philosophical, objective and scientific truths, natural law, virtue, and universal principles will be their guide. This is the key to building a flourishing society, that also promotes a culture of life and not a culture of death.

The monthly events are presented by dynamic ‘talk show hosts’ and an informed guest panel who can address relevant issues and provide insights by analyzing pop culture, the frontiers of science, philosophy, law, medicine, ethics, political philosophy, religion and the social sciences.

** Mentorship Program launches April/May 2019

Young adults' passionate voices have been heard! They want good role models and mentors whom they can approach for guidance. A faith filled young person will encounter many obstacles in career and life, so what better way than to be matched to another Catholic (or person who shares the same faith) to walk you through life's journey! Get matched to a seasoned, successful professional who understands the Catholic faith!

The Mentorship program will be launched at April/ May 2019. Come to our meet and greet events to self match over drinks and appys.
