Life Chain, a peaceful and prayer witness to the sanctity of human life, was held in Prince George on Sunday, October 4, along 15th Avenue in front of the University Hospital of Northern BC, where local abortions are performed. Seventy-five people came together to pray for an end to abortion - which terminates the lives of approximately 100,000 unborn babies every year in Canada – and causes physical and emotional suffering for so many women. Life Chain is a visual reminder to all in our community of the harm that abortion brings, first and foremost to the unborn, but also to their parents and siblings; extended family members; and to all of us for, as a society, we are denied the gifts, talents, and accomplishments of those who have lost their lives to abortion. Through the prayers of those gathered in our city, and the 200 Life Chains in Canada, as well as the more than 1000 Life Chains inthe United States, we ask God to use our witness to open people’s eyes, to touch their hearts, and to change their minds – so that one day we can say that “Abortion is no more!”
