From the American Association of Pro-life OBGYNs, here is an outstanding resource for groups, crisis pregnancy centers, and others who are looking to know what abortion does to women and their children's health.  Opposing abortion is usually about the unborn child, but there are serious concerns about the health of the subsequent "wanted" children of women who have had one or more abortions.

Fact: for a woman who has had one abortion, her risk of having a premature birth, and all of the risks that come with it is 36% or a one third greater risk.

Fact: For a woman who has had two abortions, her risk of a premature birth is 93%.

The risks associated with premature birth for the child are: autism, mental disability, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, blindness, deafness and learning disabilities.

These resources also discuss the psychological risks associated with abortion as well as the risks associated with RU486 abortions (otherwise known as "chemical abortions").

The following video shows doctors from the Family Research Council making presentations at the United Nations Conference on the Status of Women about the harms of RU486 to women living in rural parts of the developing world, and how these abortion drugs substantially increase the risk of hemorrhage and death.

The doctors presenting this material make excellent points about why this information is not made readily available to women in general. Where is the "choice" if it is being made in ignorance of the reality?

This is definitely a resource worth passing on.
