A recent blog post by Alex Schadenberg of the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition, examined the expansive nature of legalized euthanasia within our society.
The article speaks to the fact that the practice of euthanasia is becoming widely accepted as a valid, compassionate and ethical medical treatment. This will result in more people becoming both: eligible and vulnerable to euthanasia.
Schadenberg then goes on to share the results of a recent Health Canada report which states that 1982 people committed suicide with the help of medical personnel last year. He also references a e Canadian Paediatric Society report that appears to advocate for the expansion of Canada's euthanasia law, so that people of all age could be vulnerable to undergoing life-ending euthanasia "treatment".
