Archdiocese of Ottawa-Cornwall

Hello to all...Happy Easter, Christ is Risen!

The letter writing campaign to promote conscience rights legislation in the Province of Ontario is now well underway in the Archdiocese of Ottawa-Cornwall since Easter Weekend. This campaign is being done electronically using automated letters administered by the Canadian Medical and Dental Association (an affiliate of Coalition for HealthCARE) through the Coalition's website: Ontario | Canadians for Conscience

http://www.canadiansforconscience.ca/ontario/

The announcement and information including reference to Archbishop Marcel Damphousse's letter about this campaign was published in the Friday Facts for the past two weeks (for example, see on Page 3 under Pro-Life for the FF of Apr 3: FF210402-1.pdf (archoc.ca).

https://en.archoc.ca/documents/2021/3/FF210402-1.pdf

It was expected that parishes would have published the announcement in their bulletins, online parish blogs (Flocknotes or other) or websites. Announcements may have also been made at weekend masses by parish pastors or commentators. I would be interested to know what you have seen communicated in your parishes in this regard (please report back to me directly).

If it hasn't already been done in your parish, please follow-up with them as soon as possible for this coming weekend (bulletin deadlines are often Tuesdays or Wednesdays).

The Archbishop's letter about the campaign appears below his Easter Message on the Archdiocesan website:
